Data theft scam targets Google ads     StumbleUpon Toolbar

Some Google advertisers have hijacked to steal banking and other personal information from web surfers looking for better Business bureau. Though Google has now taken action against such breach .It has been unclear how many people or websurfers are affected before it was discovered this week. It has targeted Windows XP machine users who havn’t updated their machines. As per Google it wouldn’t affect Google core business of selling lucrative links . Company 2007 first quarter profit was $1 billion alone.

Google deactivated the offending links and shut down Google advertisers account who were creating such violations. Company is working with advertisers to identify any other malware loaded sites that might be on the network. I remember when I clicked a ads and redirected to some other site containing malware. Suddenly my Virus reported me about the threat. Google is working hard to remove sites that contain malwares for better security of users .Attackers are still using the old techniques and they are working. I thought Google firstly approves all those ads before they appear in their network.
