Samsung 16 GB flash memory
Largest memory chip maker Samsung Electronics has successfully developed 16 GB NAND flash memory chips for the first time in the world. NAND is a flash memory chip commonly used for huge storage applications like Digital cameras, MP3 players, USB flash drives .These devices contain a NAND chip which enables them to store huge amount of data. It offers faster erase, write, and read capabilities. The data in these flash memories can be erased and reprogrammed.
Company said these 16 GB NAND chips with 48nm technology read and write with double speed as compared to earlier 8 Gb NAND chips 60nm technology.
