Yourminis a service by goowy media, inc started by 4 friends in 2004. They invested in restaurants and decided to do something in Internet application development. In March 2005 they started goowy mail. They acheived success in really short period of time . Nice story for inspiration. 
Now they got more for your blogs websites and desktops .You can add lots of widgets to your blog, websites and desktops to get updates as well to know updates directly from your desktops. There are similar sites like Netvibes, pageflakes that uses AJAX .You can go to “Startpage” and look for lots of stuff. It even got a In build browser. You can add lots of widget your site . Just Right click and get the embeded code . Copy and paste the embeded code to your site or blog. You can also change widgets look like “minimal/full view”, right click to view more options. You can add widget to your desktop using Adobe Apollo. Yourmins have recently launch widgets for Windows vista . Your visitors or readers can also your widget your Myspace, Facebook, Hi5 and etc.
Adding your widgets to yourminis. Go to yourminis all blogs. Click “add a blog widget ” wait for sec > add your blog url > Enter your Blog Title(optional) > description > tags and submit .
