Google can’t use Gmail in Germany
Google can’t use Gmail in Germany because this trade mark is allready being used by someone else in Germany. Google says it won’t effect there ability to offer Web-based mail service in Germany. I think Google will be using some different name for Gmail that is “Google Mail” in Germany. Google launched Gmail service in 2004 . They own this trademark in more than 60 countries. Do you know you get two address with Gmail / Google mail account, Yourname@gmail and Yourname@googlemail.com. Gmail I don’t think so it is owned by Google, but by some other company. The story is same for Google on Gmail in Uk. They can’t even use Gmail name in UK because it is used by someone else. Google is trying there best to secure Gmail in UK. I think name doesn’t matter, quality of Google mail service is excellent.

I dont usually comment, but after reading through so much info I had to say thanks
