Advertising and the trust issues     StumbleUpon Toolbar

A global study conducted by Nielsen reveals an interesting pointer regarding the trust issues for advertising media. The study surveyed consumers across 47 markets regarding their perception of trust in tradional and digital advertising.

Newspaper advertising and consumer-generated media such as blogs were the clear winners with 63% and 61% votes.

Text Ads on mobile phones were at the bottom with 18% trust votes. Banner ads and search engine advertising were way behind at 26% and 34% respectively.

Radio, TV & Magazines were the close runners up to newspaper and consumer generated digital advertising.
