A healthy breakfast plays a very important role in state of mind & body health . We all know it, but there is still a some scope for improvement with a little extra effort & care.
A good breakfast to match your individual preferences can be made and varied from the following breakfast foods.
You can select and vary your daily breakfast and it should make approximately 20% to 25% calories intake. Adding more calories in the morning can be harmful.
Foods to select from:
1. Starting the day with fresh fruits or fruit juice should the first choice and is also the best choice.
2. 1,2,3 egg whites 2-3 times a week spread on 2-4 bread slices, preferably brown bread.
3. Almond cookies 2-3 times a week, oat meal in milk 2-3 times, 2-3 times Sprouted grains - grams, pulses
4. Yoghurt 4-5 times in summer and dry fruits in winter
5. Choco Toppings, Honey spread, Honey/raisin/almond mix or ground paste.
6. Herbal tea or green tea with honey or lemon 3-5 times a week, Coffee 2-3 times a week. Coffe should be avoided as the first food in the morning.
Other variations can be made with food content in similar categories.
Breakfast should make approximately 20% to 25% calories intake.
Don’ts
1. No Coke, Pepsi or canned juices
2. If you are an intellectual, avoid non-veg in the breakfast.
3. Watch for foods that cause allergy and avoid those foods.
4. Make sure the child does not over eat and does not feel heavy after the breakfast
