What does going Green stand for all of us..

October 22nd, 2007 · No Comments

It may be taking green tea for some of us or planting a few trees in the school or neighbourhood or buying a electric car that produces no pollution. Yes, that may be right. But the dimenstions of going green are changing.

Environment projects & Going green initiatives have been taken in USA at many levels and I discussed one of them in one of the posts.

The stadium built on 65000 sq. mt land area will have a huge 16500 sq mt roof area that will be used  for water harvesting and solar energey harnessing for majority of its water & power needs.

A small step but a very very significant inspiration for policy makers in governments worldwide & industrialists  to understand and contribute their support in every possible way to protect the environment.

A green stadium for commonwealth games at New Delhi can be an inspiring example for Going Green and Environment enthusiasts worldover. It is special important because going green and green environment projects at national & international levels serve great purpose in defence of green movement worldwide.

The green stadium for 2010 Commonwealth track & field events st will be the first green stadium of India. To be built at a cost of 75 million USD, it will generate major part of the nergy needs by harnessing solar energy. It will have its own rainwater harvesting and effluent treatment plant.
