Windows Vista : When, Why , Who

December 17th, 2007 · 24 Comments

Question of upgrading to Windows Vista is primarily for reasons of technology upgrade. If you have two computers one for experimaental & development work and the second one for routine work, Vista qualifies as a good long term investment with more benifits coming in the future while causing a few irritants on some features.

So I have installed Windows Vista as an investment for the future and to be ready when all the devices, drivers & utilities are available and the technology convergence devies are easily integrated with Windows Vista.

Windows Vista may not recommended (most cases) as an immediate shift if you have a single computer for office computer or routine work that does not call for enhanced features of Windows Vista.

It is worthwhile for home computer where kids can experiment with new developments in IT and windows Vista.

The enhanced security may be an irritant for a computer pro who understand Virus Protection and Firewalls but it proves to be a saver for a newbie.

So if you are a new in IT starting with Windows XP and upgrading to Windows Vista will be a hep experience and a good strategy for being ready for Windows Vista when it catches up in near future with more softwares and drivers.

The major advantage will be coming as the technology convergence with smart phones, video-on-demand, 3D multiplayer video games and convergence devices picks up in very near future
