The oil prices started spiralling upwards in 1972. It is 36 years when I heard the need for alternative to fossil fuels. Alternatives have been found but they are unable to replace the greater demand for fossil fuels. The world still uses about 90% of fossil fuels for energy demand.

I am absolutely at a loss to understand why the alternative fuels like Uranium, Wind Energy, Solar Energy, Ethanol, Soya Diesel, cannot reduce ossil fuel consumption by 10% or more.
