From open source software to Globally Owned Globally Managed Enterprises - just the beginning of a long journey

July 12th, 2008 · No Comments

When I first heard of a line in a couplet ‘Vasudev Kutumkum’ in Sanskrit (years back), meaning (the world is but a single family), it had an inspiring tone marinated in dreams far away from the realities of the world at that time.

But things are changing and the line may sound marinated in beautiful reality & truth. We have seen the emergence of open source software solutions & even open source enterprise solutions generating great interest in business circles.

I have seen some examples of Globally Owned Globally Managed Enterprises and they are still in the formative stage.

Here are the examples that I have stumbled upon during my browsing v-adventures…

1. jvpromos.com The site is still under construction. They have a blog and you can submit your views to express your views.

2. Gogme
Gogme.biz administers a global collaboration where entrepreneurs from around the world can own and manage a business entity together. It comprises of three phases, Ideas Phase, Action Phase and Rewards.

3. Ashoka.org workd with social entrepreneurs on social projects that can greatly impact the social development in areas touched by the project plans.

4. www.bulakumba.com an affiliate of Bulakumba Holdings is developing a new social investments model to share their professional management expertise in the disciplines of international marketing, international finance, and global business development as part of Bulakumba Holdings.
