Loading ...The CCNA certification is a good beginning for Cisco career. CCNA certification isn’t enough, it must be combined with some real-world knowledge to put you in the right spots for an excellent career in the connected world that is shaping up at home, offices & enterprises.
My experience from windows trouble shooting, internet trouble shooting soon put me in binds when I had to do trouble shooting remotely for internet connections using routers from cisco & many other makes like dlink, linksys, netgear, Netopia. So after working for 1 year, I decided to upgrade my skills and joined Cisco CCNA classes. The training was truly helpful in equipping with necessary skills and I soon joined an MNC offering internet connectiviy solutions to Corporates.
Based on my experience, here are some tips for becoming a truly valuable & employable CCNA.
It is very important you do not ignore the practical side of the skills to be acquired while undergoing training for Cisco certification. The training program must be supplemented by practical labs with real configuation problems. So choose CCNA classes that offer you the chance to work with industry experts on real Cisco equipment. The knowledge you gain while learning to pass CCNA Cisco certificationCisco certification & practical experience after CCNA certification will help you on your way up to the CCIE certification.
During the training, practise & know binary math — learn binary math and learn to create VLSM scheme. Run “show” and “debug” commands. No commands help you truly understand how things work in a Cisco network than show and debug commands. As you progress through the Cisco certification ranks, you’ll be glad you started using these at the CCNA level.
You may not need to know these commands for the exam, but you need them to be successul in the real world? Absolutely.
