But the way the oil prices fell, one could only hope for the hope for a gradual turn around in the world economy. That was not to be  and the alarm bells rang about the world economic collapse. Big industries & banks turning red and needing huge recovery packs. The very industries that led the economic growth & development are face to face with financial crisis without answers within the known fundamentals of business economics. Is it the situation of contradiction seen in any evolutionary path. May be yes. The future will probably answer it best. And the the evolitionary turn-around is now seen in the form of  fuel efficient cars, hybrid cars & electric cars.

But the cumulative forces of change seem to have more wisdom for the cumulative impact on the world economic model currently in operation and a new world economy model is in the making, a model driven by profitability and responsibility. It will be a model that will optimize the global resources and will involve global supply chains, better value generation for the consumer, avoid unproductive  consumption of resources.With increasing loss of jobs and lesser job opportunities in the coming years, universities face the challenge of redesigning the courses to impart skills that better match the work environment and prepare the students to be more productive in shorter duration of induction in a new job and new business & entrepreneurial opportunities.
